4. Marketing, audiences and advertising
We may use Shopify, Klaviyo, Meta, Google, Pinterest and TikTok to send marketing, measure campaigns, personalise advertising and create customer or similar audiences. This may involve sharing identifiers such as an email address or telephone number in hashed form, together with purchase or engagement information, where lawful.
Advertising cookies, pixels, tags and similar technologies will only operate where the law requires and you have given the relevant consent. You can withdraw cookie consent through our cookie settings.
You may unsubscribe from email marketing at any time. An email unsubscribe normally stops marketing emails but does not by itself erase order records, reviews, wishlists or information needed for legal, security or suppression purposes. If you object to all use of your personal information for direct marketing, we will stop using it for that purpose, including related profiling and audience targeting, and retain only enough information to honour the objection.
5. Abandoned basket messages
We may send a reminder if you begin checkout and do not complete a purchase, but only where we have a lawful basis and electronic marketing rules permit it. Every marketing reminder will contain an easy opt-out. Service messages about an actual order are not marketing.
6. Wishlists and reviews
Wishlist information remains linked to your account until you remove it, close the account or ask us to erase it, subject to any information we must retain.
Unsubscribing from marketing does not remove a review. Reviews may remain published because they form part of the product and customer record. We may remove identifying details, edit only for moderation reasons stated in our review terms, or delete a review where required by law or following a valid rights request.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
We use necessary technologies to operate the store, basket, checkout, security and customer preferences. With your consent, we also use analytics, personalisation and advertising technologies. More detail is in our Cookie Policy below. You can change your choices at any time through the cookie settings link in the website footer.
8. Sharing information
We may share information with Shopify; payment, delivery, fulfilment, fraud prevention, customer support, email, review and IT providers; and Meta, Google, Pinterest and TikTok for advertising and measurement where permitted. We may also disclose information to professional advisers, regulators, law enforcement, a purchaser of our business, or where required to protect legal rights. We do not sell personal information for money.
9. International transfers
Some providers process information outside the UK. Where required, we use recognised safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to approved contractual clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism, together with appropriate risk assessments.
10. Retention
· Order, payment and accounting records: normally 7 years after the relevant transaction or financial year.
· Customer service and dispute records: normally up to 6 years after resolution.
· Account and wishlist data: while the account is active, then normally up to 2 years unless deletion is requested or longer retention is justified.
· Marketing records: while you are marketable and normally up to 2 years after meaningful engagement; suppression records may be kept indefinitely to honour your choice.
· Advertising audience files: refreshed regularly and removed when no longer needed, when consent is withdrawn, or when a direct marketing objection applies.
· Reviews: while relevant to the product or our business, unless removal is required or appropriate.
· Cookie data: for the periods shown in the cookie tool, with consent records retained as needed to demonstrate compliance.
We may keep information longer where required by law, needed for fraud prevention, or reasonably necessary for legal claims. We minimise or anonymise information when practical.
11. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent at any time. You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing. Contact help@lerajewellery.com. We normally respond within one month and may ask for reasonable proof of identity.
You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, but we would appreciate the opportunity to address your concern first.
12. Children
Our store is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Customers must be able to enter into a purchase contract or have appropriate permission.
13. Security and changes
We use proportionate technical and organisational measures to protect information, but no internet service is completely secure. We may update this policy and will post the new version with a revised date. Material changes may also be communicated directly where appropriate.
